The foods in Street taste with care, Street food but it gives you a massive experience for your travel

Street food is a global phenomenon, and although it doesn’t get much press in the Western world, travelers all over the planet are discovering its pleasures.

At first glance it may seem like an untidy problem: there’s no way to guarantee cleanliness or freshness. And yet street food is popular not just because of convenience but also because of its flavors. These vendors have learned to take advantage of what they have on hand, using their wits and creativity instead of expensive ingredients shipped from afar. The best street food appears when you least expect it — pungent with spices and wafting that unmistakable smell into your path as you walk down a winding alleyway or bustling market street.

In fact, these vendors (especially in popular tourist areas) know how to play off the average tourist’s hunger for a taste of home and local cuisine. They serve up lots of little offerings that are inexpensive, fun, and tasty — so tasting an assortment of street food when you’re on vacation can be a great way to satisfy not only your appetite but also one important part of your spirit.

So whether you’re traveling in Asia or just visiting the local markets here in the U.S., small bites from street vendors are a must. They’re inexpensive (you can get a fancy meal for less than $5), they’re convenient (they only need to endure the short distance between stalls and don’t require much storage space), and they really pack a lot of flavor.

Learn how to navigate the world of street food with these tips:

1. Get rid of your fear. Because street food has no air conditioning and is exposed to heat, sunlight and flies, you may feel a little fearful about what could be in your meal. But if you’re willing to take a moment to consider the source, and then be selective about what you eat, this shouldn’t be an issue. The vendors who sell food at night are the ones who may have been out all day at work or school; they’re more likely to have kept their food in coolers or refrigerators at those times. If you want hot food without the travel time, several vendors will sell their wares by the piece — just ask!

2. Think variety when choosing a vendor. While there are a few people who only eat what they grow in their own backyard, there are many vendors who have taken advantage of having plenty of fresh ingredients by foraging for berries and other produce that can be sold fresh. Be sure to talk to the vendor about their specialties and find out which flavors might appeal to you. For example, one vendor may have wild mushrooms that are perfectly delicious; another artisanal chef may make an assortment of food with herbs from his garden; another may sell jams made from local fruit — but all of these things can taste different than what you’re used to.

3. Look at more than just the taste. Street food has either been cooked or must be prepared at the time of purchase, but it might not have been cleaned up before. Typically, this means that you get to smell the flavors of spices, oils and smoke from the food. The vendors often clean up after selling their wares, but some will leave anything that’s already sold to taste even more delicious. Consider whether a vendor is willing to wash and sanitize his or her dishes before eating what they’ve fried or grilled.

4. Make an informed decision. The vendors themselves are often not in charge; they need a license in order to sell their wares legally and must abide by food laws and other regulations.
